How to Pack Your EXPANPACK

Get a week into a carry-on in 5 simple steps.

Step 1 — Open the compression compartment
Unzip the main compartment and you'll find the built-in vacuum compression bag. Lay the backpack flat so you have a clean, open space to work with.

Step 2 — Load your clothes
Fold or roll your clothes and stack them inside the compression bag. Don't be shy — pack in more than you think will fit. This is where the magic happens. Use the wet/dry separation zone for shoes, toiletries, or anything you want kept apart.

Step 3 — Seal the bag
Close the compression bag's zipper fully across the top, pressing as you go to make sure it's completely sealed. A proper seal is what locks in the space-saving.

Step 4 — Press the air out
Press down firmly with both hands to push the air out, or use a portable air pump for a fully flattened, vacuum-tight pack. Watch your pile shrink down to half its size — that's double the capacity in the same bag.

Step 5 — Load your tech and lock up
Slide your laptop into the separate padded compartment, tuck your phone and passport into the hidden anti-theft back pocket, and set your TSA-approved combination lock. Need more room for the trip home? Unzip the 5cm expansion panel.
